Your turn: Take the Annual Tax Survey
Oshawa's Strong Voice in Parliament
Optional email code
On April 1, 2024 the costly Trudeau Carbon Tax will increase to $80 per tonne from $65 per tonne -- or about 17 cents per litre of gasoline and 15 cents per cubic metre of natural gas. Even after your federal rebate payments are factored in, the Carbon Tax will still cost the average Oshawa household between $377 and $911 in 2024-25 according to the independent Parliamentary Budget Officer. Is it now time to kill the Carbon Tax?
No; we must have a price on carbon and get serious about climate change.
Absolutely; Canadians simply can't afford another hike in the carbon tax at this time.
I'm unsure.
Prefer not to answer.
